Biography

Justine was born in 1972 in Portland, Oregon.  She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts majoring in Fine Arts.  She studied painting in Florence, Italy and chose to locate in Portland after a year spent painting in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Justine's paintings are primarily landscape inspired.  She has a unique ability to extract the essence of the inherent color and form and boldly restate it in her paintings.  Her colors are both intense and engaging and compels the viewer to see the subject matter through different eyes.   She draws upon landscapes from her travels around the world, primarily Europe, Africa and the Pacific Islands of Micronesia.  Her work is displayed in a number of boutique hotel rooms in Cannon Beach, Oregon, as well as in Yachats Oregon,  however most of her work is held in private collections.  She currently works out of her studio in northwest Portland.
